Murray Thomson started Alba shooting after having experienced years of all aspects of Scottish field sports. He is a qualified SCTA shooting instructor and has a passion for all things rural. Murray has travelled the world extensively, and has had the good fortune to experience many different cultures and businesses. He brings this life experience to the work of Alba shooting, and takes great pride in promoting all associated Scottish enterprise.

We are a small family run business based in the beautiful countryside of East Lothian. We have years of passed down experience, and feel that it is about time that something was passed back to the Scottish field sports community. We are not a profit chasing company, and are proud of our small business. Scotland has some of the finest field sporting days, and we take pride in supporting the small local shoots and game keepers, as well as all of Scotland’s clay shooting grounds. There are those in today’s society who would happily see all aspects of shooting banned, and at Alba shooting we are determined to support our partner agencies in the fight against this. Ignorance is often our biggest enemy, and we aim to promote awareness and education. We strive to provide only proper and genuine shooting days for those who have a real passion for the sport, and are proud promoters of both BASC and the SCTA.
